Two Crude Dudes (Sega Megadrive (Genesis))

Two Crude Dudes (Sega Mega Drive (Genesis))

One of the early, Data East arcade ports.

I always thought Two Crude Dudes for the Sega Mega Drive was really stylish, but this game does have a lot of problems too.
It’s an earlier Mega Drive game ported from an arcade game, so already you should have an idea about the gameplay; it’s really shallow. The graphics also take a bit of a hit; you won’t find anything remarkable here, but they get the job done. The ‘dudes’ move like they have chronic pain, stiff and slow, which makes the boss fights a little harder than they should be.

All things considered however, Two Crude Dudes is a lot of fun. The ability to pick up nearly anything within a stage to use as a weapon, the different types of enemies and the colourful main characters make for a solid game providing you don’t expect to be entertained for hours.
